Efficacy and function

1. effect on uterus
Leonurus heterophyllus decoction, ethanol extract and Leonurus Leonuri base have excitatory effects on the isolated uterus of rabbits, cats and other animals.

Leonurus heterophyllus can significantly increase coronary flow and significantly slow down heart rate in isolated guinea pig hearts. In vivo experiments also showed that Leonurus heterophyllus could significantly reduce the total number of platelets in the peripheral circulation and the platelets and their aggregates in the capillaries of the alveolar wall. Leonurus heterophyllus has a significant dissolving effect on red thrombus in rabbit pulmonary circulation. Leonurus heterophyllus alkaline subcutaneous injection had central inhibitory effect, MLD was 0.4-0.6g/kg. The urine volume of rabbits was significantly increased after intravenous injection of Leonurus Leonuri 1mg/kg. Leonurus heterophyllus alkaloid can cause hemolysis of rabbit blood suspension at higher concentration.
The aqueous alkaline extract of Leonurus heterophyllus was diluted 1:13-1:10 in test tube to inhibit Trichoderma schrenckii, Microsporum laniformis, tinea rubrum and Nocardia stellatum. Leonurus heterophyllus decoction can inhibit E. coli and Shigella dysenteriae by the method of flat paper.
