Shenqu is a koji made by fermenting Polygonum hydropiper, Artemisia annua, almond mud, adzuki bean and fresh Xanthium sibiricum seeds after adding flour or bran. It tastes sweet and pungent, has a warm nature, and can guide the spleen and stomach. The specific effects are as follows:
1. Invigorating the spleen and appetizing, eliminating food and accumulating. The main ingredients in Shenqu are yeast, amylase, volatile oil, fatty oil, vitamin B, etc. these enzymes in Shenqu are mainly used to promote digestion. Therefore, they have a certain therapeutic effect on symptoms such as indigestion, anorexia, abdominal distention and vomiting, and also have the effect of invigorating the spleen and stomach in regulating qi;
