Product Description

Origin and distribution
Born in sunny slopes, dry hills or grasslands. It is distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu and other places.
Harvesting and processing
In spring and autumn, the roots and sand are removed and dried in the sun, which is customarily called "hairy Zhi Mu"; when fresh, the outer skin is peeled or scraped off and dried in the sun, which is customarily called "Zhi Mu flesh" (light Zhi Mu).

Herb properties
Hairy Zhi Mu: long, slightly curved, slightly flat, occasionally branched, 3-15 cm long, 0.8-1.5 cm in diameter, with a light yellow stem and leaf remnants at one end. It has a slightly sweet, bitter taste and is sticky when chewed. Zhi Mu flesh: most of the outer skin has been removed and the surface is yellowish white; some have a few residual hairy whisker-like leaf bases and concave dotted root scars.
