Blue lotus, Nymphaea caerulea, known primarily as blue lotus (or blue Egyptian lotus), but also blue water lily (or blue Egyptian water lily), andsacred blue lily (or sacred narcotic lily of the Nile), is a water lily in the genus Nymphaea.
