Cynomorium songaricum is a parasitic perennial fleshy herb. it usually grows wild in the desert Gobi, and grows best at minus 20 ºC, without snow or freezing. It has the effects of invigorating kidney, treating impotence, moistening intestines, and urinating blood. The pharmacopoeia has such a review of Cistanche deserticola as calming the liver and invigorating the kidney, nourishing the essence and nourishing the blood, relaxing the bowels, treating infertility caused by deficiency of qi and blood, strengthening tendons and bones, and supplementing calcium.
